MOTORHOME HANDOVER
EXPLAINED

If you’ve purchased a motorhome or campervan from us, you’re probably curious about what happens when you come to collect it. With this in mind, we’ve created a useful step-by-step guide to the motorhome handover process – packed with handy information and details of what you should expect on handover day.

Read on to find out what the motorhome handover process entails and the checks and demonstrations we carry out!

Please note, as a temporary COVID safe measure, we are providing our customers with handover videos. 

STEP 1
WE CHECK THAT…

The heating is on

The lights are on

The water is connected

Z

That there is no damage to the van

Z

Any optional extras are fitted

Z

The van is fully valeted

Z

All carpets are down

STEP 2

Firstly, we will give you a full demonstration as to how the exterior fittings of the motorhome work.

Z

Then, we’ll walk around the entire exterior of the motorhome with you, so that you can thoroughly check the condition.

STEP 3
TOUR OF THE INTERIOR

Z

We’ll give you a full demonstration of how the appliances inside the van work. This includes the fridge, oven and washroom facilities. 

Z

Next, we’ll provide a full demonstration of the fixtures and fittings (such as blinds, windows and storage compartments) inside the van and how they work.

Z

Lastly, we’ll show you how the control panels inside the van work. This includes the heating, battery and security systems.

STEP 4
The final stage

Z

Before you leave, our team will ensure that you’re completely satisfied with your purchase. They’ll also check that you understand how to use and get the most from your new motorhome.

Z

We’ll then run through some final pieces of paperwork. Once this is completed, you’re free to hit the road!

Z

Lastly, we’ll make a follow-up call to you afterwards to check how you’re getting on.
