COVID-19: AN UPDATE

Updated 23/03/20: Please note, we are now closed, in line with Government advice. Please see our update post for further details.

The safety of our staff and customers is our priority. This is a worrying time for everyone due to the spread of COVID-19, so we wanted to take a moment to inform you of the actions and precautions we’re taking as a business.

Here at Tamar Caravan Centre, we remain open as usual and are taking a number of precautions to protect our staff and customers, so that we can continue to function during this extremely difficult time.

We are regularly monitoring the NHS and news websites to stay abreast of developments to ensure that we are up to date with current COVID-19 health advice. The entire team are following NHS guidelines and we wish our customers to do the same, whilst remaining safe. Our non-customer facing staff are now working from home as a precautionary step.

We are also introducing a number of solutions and services, designed to help those practicing social distancing or in self-isolation and to minimise risk.

Our Temporary Services

From today (Wednesday 18th March 2020), we will be offering a free of charge internal cleaning routine of door handles and flat surfaces to help prevent the spread of any infections to both staff and customers.

In order to maintain new caravan warranties and where a service cancellation cannot be avoided, we will arrange collection of your unit if staffing levels allow, to enable you to maintain your caravan’s warranty with the manufacturer. Please note, this will be a local service only. For more information, please contact our service department on 01752 341133.

For customers who are self-isolating in their caravans, we are now able to offer a delivery service via our online shop for any parts and caravan accessories you may need – including items that are not listed on our website. We will continue to provide this service through Parcel Force whilst this facility is still available.

What’s Next?

As the situation develops, we will keep you updated on our website, FacebookTwitter and Instagram pages. In the meantime, we encourage you to stay safe and keep positive.
