Our 2020 Review
This year, we’ve been closed almost as much as we’ve been open! Despite this, we’ve still had a very busy year with loads of exciting things happening all the way up to the end of 2020. Against the odds, the company has been able to provide a great service to new and existing customers. We’ve put together the highlights of this year to look back at what we have achieved.
New Branding
We kicked off 2020 with a bang! Our new e-commerce website and new branding gave the company a new fresh look and we changed our name, logo and uniforms in the process. We love the new branding and think it perfectly represents what we offer here at Tamar Caravan Centre – ‘the home of adventure’.
Our new e-commerce website couldn’t have come at a more convenient time. Just days after the site went live, the UK went into full lockdown. This meant the business was temporarily closed, whilst the country adjusted to a ‘new normal’. Our new website allowed our customers to have their caravanning essentials delivered to them whilst remaining safe at home.
New Arrivals
2020 has also been the year of many new arrivals! This year we have welcomed two new members of the team, Tina and Naomi. Tina has joined the workshop as an expert towbar fitter and Naomi, a caravan lover, has recently joined our aftersales team.
We also began stocking VW campervans into our showroom this year! The campervans proved to be a hit, so we launched a hire scheme! Customers can hire a campervan through us for a limited time so they can experience the joys of travelling around in a campervan.
Last but not least is the most anticipated product launch in our history…the Swift Mayflower Special Edition! This December, we were thrilled to finally have the first Mayflower vans delivered to our showroom – an exclusive to Tamar Caravan Centre. A stylish van packed with fantastic features and all the latest Swift technology, we’re sure this van is going to be popular in 2021!
Engineer Achievements
This year, our engineers took the opportunity to add to their knowledge and skill set by undertaking exams and certifications. Stephen Humphries, Phillip Goodhall and Will Ide all completed the NCC Caravan Engineer Awards, with Stephen also receiving his STGW Gas certification. Well done guys!
What’s Next for 2021?
No one knows what 2021 will hold, but here’s to hoping it won’t be quite as tough as 2020 has been! Regardless of the circumstances we may find ourselves in next year – whether it be more lockdowns or a year of freedom – one thing’s for sure, this year has taught everyone to appreciate what they have around them. The great outdoors is one of those things. Here at Tamar Caravan Centre, we will continue to provide a great customer service whether it be in person at our store, or through our online shop. This means our customers will be able to enjoy the great outdoors and staycations in their bubbles.
The whole team at Tamar Caravan Centre would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
